Acoustic Lagging

FIRST TECHNICAL SERVICES acoustic lagging and Wraps are designed to block noise that transmits through the walls of the pipe or as well as to increase the sound absorption in the cavity. Designed to offer significant reduction of radiated noise, it consists of a loaded vinyl noise barrier.

DESCRIPTION

Duct and pipe Lag is a 1 lb per sq. ft. mass loaded barrier with a reinforced foil facing, to reduce noise from pipes, valves, fan housing, and ductwork in commercial, industrial and domestic buildings. For indoor and outdoor applications where a “one shot” integral acoustic lagging material is required. Silent Lag and Lagging incorporate a 25 mm thick glass fiber quilt stitched in a 100 mm box design to a scrimbacking to encapsulate the fiber which isolate the outer barrier from the wall of the duct or pipe, thus maximizing performance.

FEATURES

  • A high-performance sound absorber material.
  • It is easy to cut, wrap and install with matching lag tape.
  • It consists of a mass-loaded flexible barrier with a reinforced foil facing with a decoupling layer.
  • Designed to absorb noise from pipes, valves, fan housings, and ductwork in commercial, industrial and domestic buildings.
  • Acts as both a noise barrier and a noise absorber, thereby providing benefits.

APPLICATIONS

  • Hydraulic and wastewater pipes
  • Air-conditioning ducting
  • Compressor wraps
  • Motor wraps
