CIRCULAR SOUND ATTENUATOR

DESCRIPTION

Sound attenuators are used to absorb the noise in air conditioning or ventilation ducts.

CONSTRUCTION

Steel casing; Mounting flange with treaded insert; Acoustic material in mineral wool 60 kg/m3 with protection against erosion by glass fiber fire resistance A1 and extended metal net.

Operating mineral wool temperature: 400oC (peak 500OC)

Melting transparent polyester film:250oC;

Streamlining as assembly with self-locking bolts;

OPTIONS

With or without internal streamlining inserts;

Casing in painted carbon steel, galvanized steel and stainless steel on request.

Possibility of mounting the lifting ring.

RECTANGULAR SOUND ATTENUATOR

DESCRIPTION

The sound attenuators are used to absorb the noise in air conditioning or ventilation ducts.

CONSTRUCTION

  • Steel casing with flanges;
  • Acoustic baffles with steel casing;
  • Acoustic material in mineral wool 60kg/m3 with protection erosion by glass fiber, fire resistance MO, and noncombustible material used in A,B and C class in accordance with directive 96/98/EC on Marine Equipment (Rima).

OPTIONS

  • Type 1: with baffles totally in protected mineral wool, suitable to absorb the noise at medium-high frequencies (250รท8k Hz)
  • Type 2: with baffles half-covered with galvanized steel, suitable to absorb the noise at low frequency (125 Hz).
  • Baffles thickness 100, 150, and 200 mm with the possibility of an aerodynamic profile.
  • Extended metal sheet protection for acoustic material.
  • Plastic and extended metal sheet protection for acoustic material, especially for hospital, pharmaceutical, or microelectronic industries.
  • Other glass fiber protection is available.
  • Casing in stainless steel on request.

BEND-TYPE SOUND ATTENUATOR

APPLICATION

Bend attenuators can be designed for vertical or horizontal installation to suit the ductwork layout.

DESCRIPTION

  • Vertical/ horizontal mounting
  • Rectangular cased bend attenuator is mainly used to reduce fan noise to meet the required NC levels.

INSTALLATION

  • Directly installed on a duct section.
  • FT-SA 20 V for vertical installation.
  • FT-SA 20 H for horizontal installation.

CONSTRUCTION

  • Generally as for the straight version. To minimize resistance to airflow, turning vanes are incorporated. Into the design.
  • The vertical and horizontal mounting cased bend rectangular attenuator is mainly used to reduce fan & machine noise to meet the required or allowed noise levels.
